Literature Text

I could pretend
That I don’t feel bitterness on my tongue,
Deny the burning sensation in my lungs,
Pretend that I am able to contend.

I could defend
Myself from your accusation,
Oblige myself to go further than my fixation
Defined by my dysfunctional trend.

I could depend
On you to forgive this part in me,
To learn and see the agony
From which my bad manners ascend.

I could append
My detours to this story,
Feign my own fallacy
For you to finally understand.

But in the end,
I am at peace with my own demon,
I pardon and mend
For I am just human.
.
The twelfth piece of my project "From Preservation To Self-Revelation". I hope you find as much purpose as I did when I wrote this poem.

May you all find peace.

This is so honestly put. I have read it a few times...

“the way to create art is to burn and destroy
ordinary concepts and to substitute them
with new truths that run down from the top of the head
and out of the heart”

It is such a treat to read your work...
